New here?

Visiting a church for the first time can feel a little uncertain, especially if it has been many years since the last visit to one. This page is here to answer a few simple questions and to help visitors feel at ease before they come.

What to expect

Services at Stoke Row Chapel are straightforward, thoughtful, and centred on worship, prayer, Bible reading, and preaching. The aim is to honour God, learn from His Word, and encourage one another in faith and daily life.

Who comes?

The chapel is made up of ordinary people of different ages and backgrounds. Some have been part of the fellowship for many years, while others have come more recently and found here a warm and welcoming church family.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code. People simply come as they are, and the important thing is not what anyone wears but that they feel able to come and take part.

Children and families

Children and families are welcome at Stoke Row Chapel. The hope is that people of all ages will find here a place of belonging, encouragement, and spiritual growth.

Accessibility

The chapel seeks to make worship and events accessible to all. Ramps and accessible seating are available, and anyone with particular needs is welcome to get in touch in advance so that suitable help can be offered where possible.

After the service

There is usually an opportunity to stay after the service for conversation and refreshments. This is one of the simple ways newcomers begin to get to know people and feel at home in the life of the chapel.

Questions?

Anyone with questions about the chapel, the Christian faith, or what to expect on a Sunday is very welcome to make contact before visiting. Practical questions and personal enquiries are both welcome.
